INFRASTRUCTURE WIRING

(extreme worse case of a wiring room)
Improperly installed cabling can cripple network performance, create maintenance headaches, and lead to hidden costs. Having your network infrastructure inspected, properly labeled and terminated are pro-active steps in keeping good standards and house-keeping.

Network wiring has so much to do with proper cabling and layout. Images, on left, is a network nightmare for any IT professional and it's sad to say this is found in many data rooms.

Being able to identify the correct port on a patch panel or on a stack of switches is helpful for many reasons. It's important to keep this properly labeled for future enhancement of technology. Keeping up with proper industrial standards will also make it easier on decisions for upgrades.
The best decision you make from the start, begins at your wiring.

CHOICES - OPTIONS - DECISIONS

It would be BEST to contact us so we will be able to explain better in detail. But we will explain the basics on this site.

The most common in years past is wiring called CAT5/E. It's still available today but for a few cents more per foot, the CAT6/E is the best way to install any network cabling.

CAT 5 has a transport speed UP TO 1Gigs. CAT 6 has speeds OVER 1Gig. Of course, this depends on the patch panel, switches and the network interface on THE devices.

Fiber Optics is available and we would recommend this for long distances between buildings and HIGHLY recommend for Video/Audio streaming. The price of Fiber Optics is expensive depending upon the need. For those like video studios, the price is perfect because the speed will not be an issue.

Remember, there are limitations to the total length of cables and placment is critical.
